In its simplest form, a database is simply a repository of information. Where a database starts to become a powerful business tool, however, is when functionality is built in so that the information can be organised and accessed in a variety of ways, reports can be automatically generated, orders and transactions processed, stock controlled, buying behaviour analysed etc.
At Irax, we build databases that do all this and more. Our databases are usually developed to be web accessible, but other platforms can be used where appropriate.
